So my Jardini is 4 years old, over 2 feet long, 7 inches high and in perfect health. Well...not mentally. In that aspect he is a bit unstable. About a year ago, during a water change, he jumped up and bit my hand making me bleed and my wife call animal/poison control.(she's nervous) Actually, he attacks the WC hose quite regularly.
Fast forward a year later and he's done quite the job killing all his tankmates minus two, a Dat and a Shovelnosed Tiger. The Dat is smaller and faster and hides well, the poor shovelnose is often picked up by his tail and carried across the tank! And, he's the same size as the Jar! Luckily, he heals fast.
Yesterday, in an attempt to find something that eats pencil sized arowana poop, I added a large crayfish to the tank. 6" long, big claws and an attitude. I even attempted to add him while the tank was still dark so he could get a good hiding spot. Now, I know its a horrible pic, I was late for work and just couldn't believe he had the better half in his mouth and, all was swallowed by the time I got back home.
So, for sale, one extremely pizzed off Jardini. Hates everthing and everyone. Not good with pets or, humans for that matter. Has very large excrement. Is self destructive to the tank and his mates. Enjoy at your own risk!

Thank goodness. I was worried he might have little poops. Your jardini sound healthy and normal. A good jar will happily kill and eat most anything.

fat jardini you got

Nice, did you raise from just a little guy?

What size did you get your Jar? The reason I ask is because my jar is about 6-7" and he gets freaked out of everything. Everytime I get close to the tank, he darts off, left to right, up and down, eventually hiding behind driftwood. When he finally realizes there's food, he'll slowly swim up and eat.. I'm wondering if my Jar will ever be mean like yours...
