A few weeks ago I told you guys about the mysterious death of my Motoro Ray. Well, I believe my Jadini went ape sh---t and killed him. The reson beiong is that over the past week he has dismantled the three Cichla Temensis in his tank ... What should I do? Should I, Get rid of my prized Jardini or ditch him so my 210 gallon tank isn't a species only aquariunm? I was thinking about purchasing a black arro and 3 more Temensis ... Any suggestions?

Hey Sescil, definitely get a solo tank for that jardini or mix it with tankmates you
can afford to lose. Jardinis are very agressive and they dont tolerate tankmates very well.

Give him more comparable tankmates.. Buttikoferi Tilapia and Paratilapia sp "Small/Big Spot" should keep him in check!

I knew that Jardinis had the potential to be aggressive. However, he was in the tank with these guys for some time. As of now I'm going to leave him be. I'm not a real big fan of ant Tilapia species. Any other suggestions?

It doesnt matter. Everyone says that their jardini get along with others and they have one that leaves other fish alone. In some cases its true, jardinis can have tankmates. But in most cases its the opposite. As they get bigger they will slowly start to kill tankmates. One day everything is fine than the next morning youll have a floater. If you notice a fish a little beat up, take him out THAT DAY because tomorrow he'll either be floating or in the jardinis stomach. $0.02
