I think i should add a cichlid...but what to add?

I have a 240 gallon aquarium with a 6 - 7 inch green terror and a 12 - 13 inch red tailed giant gourami. The gourami beats up on the green terror, but doesnt really do any damage and the green terror eats normally. I am not too concerned about it, but i think having another fish in there would relieve the green terror half of the time. I don't want to get rid of either fish and I am thinking that maybe adding another cichlid of appropriate aggression would help distribute said aggression.

also in the tank is 8 large bichirs and an asian upside down catfish.

Should i add another cichlid and if so what type would be a good fit?

i was thinking a larger jack dempsey would be a good addition. What about a jaguar cichlid? Would that get too big/aggressive?

jaguar might be too aggressive but you do have a fairly large tank i think you could do a jag

I think I'd go with a vieja that pops. Like a synspillum. Or maybe a beauty like my avatar... a lyonsi!
