I just moved my Silver Aro into his larger tank and I think he may have been injured in transit. I didn't see anything obvious but he's laying on the bottom or dragging his tail on the bottom. I don't think it's water parameters or temp.

Old tank Ammonia .25 ppm, Nitrates 10 ppm, Nitrites 0 ppm Temp 81
New Tank Ammonia 0 ppm, Nitrates 10 ppm, Nitrites 0 ppm Temp 82

Any suggestions?

he is probably just stressed from the move.

Could possible be just stress but he was probably getting used to the high ammoina (which is horrible anyways) and gets moved to 0 ammonia. That could definitely shock a fish. Even though the water is a better quality now, water conditions should be slowly changed over a period of time.

How is it doing now? I would think it is just stressed from the move.

How big is the aro? How long was it in the other tank?

yeh like the others have said, sounds like stress

hey daveydoodle, easily stress.. just let him be.. nice aeration, clean water and i hope the tank doesnt have decor with sharp edges.. just leave some soft lighting in the room.. you could prob switch off the tank light.. give him some time he'll be cool..

Thanks everyone...looks like I may have jumped the gun a little. He seems to be fine now, swimming back up top and even had a bite of prawn. I guess you just get used to what is normal behavior, and I got really worried for a minute. I DID NOT want to loose him.

Gshock- trace ammonia is from a older tank that's been 7 days since a water change. It was due today anyway. That tank was stocked with Clown Knives and Jack Dempsey's. It always kicks back down after a water change.

Kaya- I turned all the lights off and gave him a few hours (with dozens of checkups every few minutes)!

Sorry for the premature panic...I think everybody was right, it was just stress. Like I said earlier..I just really DID NOT want to loose this guy. Thanks everyone.
