AllI know is that these fish are renowned for breeding like rabbits, so it could happen (i know a few people that breed convict fry as feeders).

I've personally experienced a 3/4inch female spawn with a much larger 2inch male...Convicts are the sluts of the water....Correct me if I am wrong but I'm guessing that as soon as a female starts showing coloration on her tummy, she is then able to breed....When selecting a breeding female, choose the plumpest and most colorful of the bunch...Avoid any deforms...Good Luck.........

they will breed at amazingly small sizes. FYI they breed much faster than rabbits, trust me... I've bred both.
