i added epsom salt hoping its just bloat but this bulge is really biga nd weird looking...what are the odds of my bichir swallowing a small rock/stone?? what should i do? its been two days since this "bloat" and usually it only takes a day for bloat to subside..

It's a definite possibility. What's your substrate? Are there rocks in there for him to swallow that are big enough to impact? Got a picture?
my bichir has eaten a rock before and he just ended up regergitating it like everyone said he wiil.....
i do hope he spit it out. sorry i dont have a pic my camera just broke. my substrate are small smooth stones comes in diffrent sizes and there are some small enough to fit in his mouth
My senegal also ate a piece of gravel (which prompted me to switch to sand.) Was pretty concerned. Not sure what happened to the gravel but its been a few months and hes perfectly fine.
