i think my bichir is sick any help please

ok i got a dinosaur bichir and over the last few days i've noticed that its been getting really fat and not eating as much aswell as not pooping as often...so i went to petsmart last night to ask about it and they know nothing about them they just said to feed it some brine shrimp and that should help him/her to poop...it did eat some of the shrimp then went back to sleep any ideas on what might be happening eg. needs vitamins, sick, maybe eggs

Are you using gravel as substrate?
If so, my money is on a compacted stomach.

i am using gravel in the tank...as for the pics i will post some as soon as i get home

Going to want to switch it out of Gravel, how often are you feeding it 2 times a day should be good for young polys
