i got this wolf 3 days ago and hasnt ate yet . this fat goldfish has been swimming in front of its face for about 20 mins now that ive been watching and i think the goldfish might be thinking about eating the wolffish.:nilly: :nilly:

First of all, sometimes they eat in the dark, I've found, and second, that wolf is FAT. Give him time.

hes had food in the tank since i got him and hasnt ate at all and usually lfs only feed there fish enough to just keep them alive. he makes false chases after some of my bigger fish so maybe hes just still establishing dominance and territory.

You just answered your own question...

If he has food in there, he's full, and he is FAT. Definitely not "just barely alive"

It's also not really good to leave food hanging around - risk of disease and stress. Take them out, and try feeding him in 2 or 3 days.

its not food lying around its live food. u think im going to let krill set in my tank for 3 days. im just saying he has had the chance to eat live goldfish and hasnt. i didnt say i dump in bags of krill and let it rot

He'll eat when he's hungry. I have a Polypterus that I have had for two months. I have never seen it eat, yet it is at least an inch longer than he was when I got it. He eats when he's ready, not when I am ready for him to eat.

he is most likely acclimating
