What should I do? He struck at a ghost shrimp and in the process got a small piece of gravel. The eel is about 6 inches, very healthy, and the rock was probably about half the size of a pea.

Discontinue feeding?
Any treatments?

I'm still not 100% sure it happened but I swear I could see a bulge in him. He still acts normal, this happened about two days ago.

Help :(

He should excrete it soon. Same thing happened to my bichir before. Maybe you should change your substrate?

I'm in the process of setting a larger tank just for him that will be sand only. So he'll be ok? Someone at the lfs said he was doomed and offered me chemicals to euthanize him. It really upset me, he's my favorite pet. Is there anything I can do to help the process.

Should I continue feeding? He primarily eats ghost shrimp, some bloodworms occasionally. He won't eat worms anymore for some reason, they don't interest him.

fast him a few days.. you'll see the bulge if its in there... if not then I'de say he liekly didn't swallow it. hard to say what to do if he did swallow it. personally I'de just feed lighly and hope they passed/threw it up.
