I think my Inlaws were trying to kill my fish.

I was on vacation for 10 days. They have watched my fish before no problem. well I lost 4 tetras when I was gone and a pictus cat. I think the Pictus cat was killed and eaten by the other pictus they were fighting a lot. The tetras were not looking that good before I left the water I think was too warm for them.

BUT here is the kicker. I got to feed them and see they used like a months worth of fish flakes in 10 days. because there was a lot of fish food that was used and the tanks were extra dirty.

Its not hard to watch fish but I don't trust people to look after my fish. finding good dog sitters is not that hard but good fish sitters is. funny.

I use pill containers with the days of the week on them and instruct the person who is fish watching to feed once a day only that amount portioned for that day.

Most healthy fish can easily go a few weeks without eating...I generally have people leave my fish alone when I'm gone.
