can this be? this guys becoming a best. i checked my overflows n sump n i can't find my bichir, i've been feeding a lot lately so i dont kno if he would have done it but he's fatter then usual n almost looks like the bichirs shape in his tummy. the bichir was almost 9" and the freakin gar is about 13. how the heck did it fit? even possible? damn gar :(

yep entirely possible

damn, whata horrible feeling. this guys becoming a beast, should i be worried he mite eat another fish, he pecked off the smallest 2 in the tank. you think he could harm my 15" silver aro? i've had that silver the longest out of the bunch n i'd be really sad if something happened to my silver. first my archer, now my bichir :( if he takes down my silver, he'll either be up or sale or donating to a friend with an empty tank :-\

ahh the realiziation of owner a predatory fish. Your aro could certainly be next, if not eaten, bit all up.

:naughty: lol whose the friend with an empty tank???;) haha jk, but damn that was funny when we were searching for your bichir

the hole of the mouth of gar is too small !!!

i have a spotted gar 19'' ,gator gar 7'' and senegals 9''

1 year and theres no problem

i agree that it jump and crall!!!

i don't think so. my first post is actually a slight typo. i think it was my shortnose gar that ate the bichir. my bichir wasn't a fat one lol. slight long n skinny like a snake. he has jumped out once before but that was the first thing i looked for. if i find him now he's dead for sure. unless he's some how stuck SOMEWHERE in my overflows or sump... only reason i figured he wasn't stuck in it was because my overflow system wouldn't function properly if he was stuck in it. my tank would overflow n what not if he disterbed the flow in the system. the same day my shortnose gar jus happened to have a long fat looking piece in his stomach from under his jaw to his tail. it was crazy looking.

ps. they've eatin large feeders that are fatter then that bichir with no problems.
