anybody get tired of watching the lame bassmasters? they may as well do bluegill fishing tourneys. they sit there and catch one of the easiest fish to catch over and over and hope they win by a few ounces. i understand they have to know each lake to some degree but i fish lake erie and can go out and catch one largemouth after another that weights more then what they catch. i would really like to see the sportfish be pike or muskie, something that you have to fight to get in the boat instead of just maxing out ur drag and yanking the fish in the boat. maybe its just me but bass are boring. these guys are pros so go after fish that are harder to catch and even harder to land.............:grinno:

I find traditional fish quite boring to catch, its pretty fun to me to catch a bunch of different species like longnose red suckers and whitefish.

Dude I'm in south Florida bass peacock bass ,gar arowanna, Pacu,s and if your lucky bull sharks in the canals just before the everglades preserve
and tons of others things oh but I still haven't got my first musky or pike I will though it's on my list

I also fish Lake Erie and totally agree with the op. bass are too dang easy. make em fish for different large species all the time, now that would be much more interesting.

I fish for whatever, the more species I can fish the better. I get burnt out sometimes when fishing for one species, I like to travel to different areas, walk long distances to catch fish, etc. I also like to fish for other fish that others just cant catch or bash or only bow hunt for such as gar and carp. They are all fun to catch.

I find out fishing for muskies can be......um lame. But then again so are largemouth bass, pike and walleyes are overrrated when it comes to being sportfish.

OP, did you ever think to use your brain and realize black bass are found in every state and pike and musky are only in a handful and that is the reason they are more popular? Why dont you fish tournaments if you say you can fish better then them?

I only fish SW now but I have tons of respect for good bass anglers. Bass are pretty finicky fish and it takes a ton of skill to be able to consistently put fish in the boat in unfamiliar waters. There is a big difference in how one would fish a shallow muddy weed chocked lake in Florida vs a deep clear rocky lake in Tennessee vs the mighty Mississippi to fishing the delta out in California and these pros can do it all. You cant, you jelly?

+1 to JD, I was thinking the same thing as I read down. Please go fish with kevin van dam or mike iconelli and catch HALF their bag limit in a day... humor me. these guys fish through all weather conditions all year, they don't get to decide oh they this looks like a nice day ill choose this day to fish
