I THINK we got eggs

I have been trying for about a year now to get my Flowerhorn and Red devil female to breed. So the other day I notice the Rock in the tank looked white and Broly my FH male was behaving super aggressive, biting at the glass when somebody sat too close to the tank. So I took an up close picture of the rock. I need to know if these are in fact fertilized eggs or did the spawn go bad. Thank you in advance for the help

Fertilized eggs are translucent. The white ones are unfertilized and looks like it got moldy as well

That's what I was worried about because I have never seen that before. What causes eggs to go bad? I've only bred bettas.

Unfertilized eggs will go moldy in a day or two.

Chances are pretty good that Broly my FH is sterile

yup none are fertile, sorry. fertile they will have a amber/light yellow color, snow white is none fertile. I have had fungus on fertile eggs and not been a problem though not as heavy as those.

I only managed to hatch a handful of angels but when they lay eggs the parents would vent the eggs with their fins to aerate the eggs and avoid mold. I don't know if fh do the same

Yes eggs gone bad and your boy might be shooting blanks
