Too much luck with the ladies has one Tennessee man in a lot of debt.

Desmond Hatchett owes money to 11 different women for the 30 children he’s fathered, WREG-TV reported.

The 33-year-old is believed to hold the record in Knox County for the most children fathered, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Hatchett made news for his fertility in 2009, when he had a mere 21 babies by 11 women.

When asked by a reporter at the time if he intended to keep having children he said, “No, I’m done.”

“I didn’t intend to have this many children,” he told WVLT-TV at the time. “It just happened.”

Apparently, he —and the women involved —didn’t stick to that promise, leaving them all in more financial straits.

Under the law, the state can take half of his paycheck and divide it among the women. In 2009, Hatchett was working a minimum wage job which limited his payments to as little as $1.49 among some of the women.

There’s nothing the state can do to limit him from having more children —though some would like there to be a law about it.

“If there’s something out there like that, I’m unaware of it,” Melissa Gibson, an assistant supervisor with the Knox County child support clerk’s office told the Times this week. “It definitely needs to be.”

Wonder where he finds time to work the minimum wage job Lol

Its his fault he slept with them and got'em knocked up now he needs to pay for it even if that were to mean 16 hrs a day of work...get clipped or where a rub it is not that hard.EVERYBODY THIS IS WHY WE HAVE PROTECTION TO HELP SECURE OUR FUTURES.

how do you want limit someone from having kids without going imo eugenics?

It's always fun in the beginning but it's pain in the end.....I've always heard that there are child limit laws in some parts of China.

Hello; It may be more of an issue about who has to pay for the support of the children rather than how many parents can have. The $1.49 a month he pays to some of the mothers will not cover the costs involved. The difference is often made up by various state and federal social programs here in the U.S. and is paid for with taxes collected. I do not know the details of this particular man's children. It may be that the families of the mothers are paying all the bills, but there are a lot of children whose care is paid for by the various govemental programs.
I saw the article and live about 50 miles from Knoxville TN.

They actually have a pretty good policy now. Their government provides extra assistance to families that stay at or under their child limit (typically one or two if I remember correctly); it seems to be working much better than the infamous "One Child Policy" since there's no punishment for having more than one kid.

Of course what we need are a million little half-clones of this guy running around making the world a better place.

I was down with Malthus before, but now I kind of want to make Malthusianism my religion.
