i thought my delhenzi(spell) was dead

i dont know whats wrong with it, it hasnt been eating for the past week and it looks like its dying...then i saw it upside down, and when i was about to take it out of the tank it started moving again.....

so what could be wrong...the other sengal in the tank is fine and eats like pig, but my delhenzi is not as well...

i treated the tank with hex-a-mit just for the sake of it...i hope i see improvement tomorrow
 
Hey Benito, my Bichir doesnt eat aswell.. iv only seen him eat a few times but he doesnt seem to go skinny.. umm you might can just turn up the temperature and dim the light abit so he would feel a lil more comfortible.. I dont know everything about Bichirs but that might work cause mine doesnt swin until i turn oneside of the tank lights out.. Anywayz hope your fish turns out alright.. i would hate to see any of my fish float on the top upside down.
 
thanks ryukin, yea, i have high hopes on these fish since they are my first bichirs....i just hope its not contagious since i dont have a seperate QT tank..mine doesnt look skinny at all, it just stopped eating...weird

it keeps on going upside down, and struggles to go upright....in the back of my head say its dying....but i still want to wait...maybe til tomorrow morning...
 
what have you been feeding them benito?

bichirs will float sometimes if you give them floating pellets.
 
sinking NLS, FBW, some occasional beefheart mix, and i also got them to eat floating pellets.

...the delhezi died this morning :C i got these fish from the socal meet for free

now im having problems with the sengal, theres this bump on the bottom part of its belly...it doesnt look like a full stomach...more like a swell. its also been floating/sitting on top of the tank lately
