The original Bass Pro shop was in Springfield, MO. I have been to that one. Where in Missouri, are you located? I'm in Wichita, KS. I also know Lee's Summit.
 
there is a cabelas close to where I live and they have a big flathead catfish in there also it actually ate a crappie that was in there I watched it for a few hours just something about those huge fish gliding alog waiting for a smaller fish not to pay attention lol .

Also the world record blue catfish was caught just a few miles up the river from me so far my biggest weighed in the 80 pound range, I am just estamating my scale goes to 50 lbs and it bottomed out easy so I asked this other guy that I had seen numerous times what did he think it weighed and he said it was in the high 70' low 80's ... was funny after I asked him I carried it over to the waer and let her swim away that guy started freaking out that I turned her loose she was so full of eggs she was about ready to pop so now every time I go back there and see that guy I tell him I am oing after my girls babies we both alugh about it .... good times
 
I used to live down in cherryville missouri, but I went to springfeild all the time got stranded in kansas city missiouri also but thats a whole nother story for a totally different forum lmao ;)
 
O right now I live right across the mississippi from st louis , in granite city, Illinois
