okay so i added buffer twice once each day. i added a little more than i shouldve because i didnt see a pH increase. Last night i checked my pH and it was at 8.1. i thought YES, but this mornining i did a 10% change and the pH is down to 7.7
The whole time my water has been cloudy and this time it hasnt gone away.
what do i do to get crystal clear water.

Your water is cloudy because your tank is not cycled. You're talking about the 55 gal that you posted about earlier right? I would stop screwing around with your ph and spend the time to properly cycle your tank. Uncycled, unbalanced tanks are going to be cloudy. Ready some of the "sticky" threads on the top of the page regarding cycling and whatnot. It'll help you ALOT! Good luck man and welcome to the hobby!

oh thanks. sorry for all the threads lol. yea i bought some fish today to cycle the tank. 2 fronts, a blue peacock, and a yellow lab.

poor choices to cycle a tank. You might loose the peacock and/or fronts during the process. Make sure to get some stability by seachem to help your fish out while the cycle process in going on.

It will certainly help as long as his tank is disease free. You can introduce pathogens this way, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Do look at stores in your area to see if you can find seachem "stablilty". It really does work

i visited my lfs today and my father told me not to waste my money. i shouldve boought it :(. My friends tank is disease free as far as i know. his fish just hatched fry about 2 weeks ago

im going to visit my friend tomorrow and get that bacteria ASAP. i really dont want these fish to die, they cost me a fortune and are so beautiful

well it is going to be hard on them, don't expact them all to make it without lots of work. Get prime and do lots of water changes. Tetra safestart is another good bacteria in a bottle.

edit: never mind I read your prior posts and see you don't take advice. what was the point of asking?
