but we had to get rid of it due to an unknown object in the water that kept killing the fish. We tried every thing more than once. May we will give it another shot after reading some the articles written here.:irked:

First of all, Welcome to MFK. I am sure we will be able to help you :D

If you want a new tank then follow these simple instructions:

1) Buy a tank
2) Buy a filter
3) If you want tropical fish then you need a heater
4) Buy substrate and ornaments
5) Put everything in the tank then fill up the water, then change the water (do this 5 times)
6) After 1 week, put in 5 Neon Tetras (these are good testing fish)
7) After 1 month, put in whatever fish you want.
8) Enjoy :D

Hope this helps :D

This should keep your fish safe, providing you change the water every week (30% every time), use de-chlorinator (I suggest Tetra Aquasafe)

Test kits for Nitrates, Ammonia and PH are a must if you keep all but the hardiest of fish. If you dont want to have to use a heater I suggest Natives....there are dozens of different kinds you can buy from some very reputable dealers online such as Jonahs aquarium, Sachs Aquaculture and Zimmermans fish.
