Ok i want a peacock bass, what colors do they come in, what is there personailty. Aggrsive, eating, size tank?

They mostly are different shades of green with black bars and some have speckles. They could do in normal 55gallons for grow outs but will eventually require a tank at least 2-3 feet wide. Your looking around a 240-450 gallon tank. Cichla temensis get around 3 feet. Orinocensis, Monoculus, and Ocellaris stay around 2 feet. They are somewhat aggressive with big appetites. They will push around other fish, and orinos are probably the most aggressive. Feeders are the best for them but bloodworms and whatever other meaty foods you want them to try when they are older. Of course they have a big mouth and will eat most things that can fit in it, they have great personalities. You also need to have a temp around 84+ for juvies.

Crazy...where are they from...big tank dam..but they sound awseome. I looked on the fourms i just like what people say about them. Pretty active etc. keep them on comming thanks peeps

what do they eat?

If you have the space, and you are willing to spend a pretty penny on food, I would definitely recommend pbass. They are lightning quick, and they definitely have a puppy dog mentality. They are not as aggressive as most of the other large cichlids, and they are very colorful as adults. I'm very happy with the four that I have and I think I'd like to get four more.

As far as feeding goes, my larger pair (currently 10" and 12") eat whole shrimp, smelt, and a variety of other small frozen fish that I find at a local Vietnamese grocery store. And of course, they get an occasional meal of large feeder goldfish on occasion too. But that is as much for my enjoyment as it is there's. My smaller pair (roughly 4") are eating frozen krill and frozen plankton. Some here have also been able to get their's to eat pellets.
