I want a Puffer but I need your advice

Honestly, its not really worth the risk... if you get some of the smaller freshwater puffers your Aro might eat it... if you get a larger puffer such as a fahaka, your puffer may kill your Aro, or they might kill each other...

So if you ask me... i'd advise against adding a puffer in there...

I agree 100%.

Then by all means, risk the life of your arrowana.

I had a 300gallon tank, and I kept a Arowana and a fahaka with no problems, for years.... but that is really rare. Mbu's are more docile, and would probably be fine. But you could literally only have the arowanna and mbu in the tank, anything else might crowd the mbu... If you got a few smaller puffers, they would probably still pick on your Aro. However mbu's are known to be fin nippers... and Aros have ver venerable fins...
