I'm on the hunt for a white fish. I don't have a clue about ancients, but would like to. Do you guys know of anything that would be super light colored and not super small? Stocking a 35g to start.
I want a WHITE fish. Any ideas?

Just buy something albino...no need to buy platinum, unless you hate red eyes to the tune of hundreds of dollars.

With that size tank, I would go to a local store and buy some white tetras, barbs, kissers, and an albino senegal, and then when you have a bigger tank, you can upgrade. There are even some really beautiful white livebearers.
I'm the type of person that doesn't like community tanks much unless they're jammed full like in the LFS, which isn't good for them. I would prefer to have a couple bigger fish, within limit.
The platinum bichir is gorgeous, but at what cost exactly? I should also note that, though I did post in ancients, I'm usually more of a cichlid person and I'm a cheapskate haha.
EDIT: Wowwwww nevermind. FAR beyond my budget. Any NORMAL priced white specimens? lol

I just FINALLY got rid of my last convict by giving it to my daughter, though the Albinos would look really cool in this tank. More leaning toward white labs or Vieja argentea at this point. :s
If your goin Malawi be s few to choose from , you'll need bigger tank for Americans though pretty quickly , Midas are quite nice in white , or few albino kribs not totally white but nice
My wife likes Africans, and I generally like Americans. I currently house Jack Dempseys, but I'm aware I would need an upgrade tank for the Vieja Angenteas though as they grow to pretty much same size.
