Hey, I really want an arowana. I have a 75gl tank with a med sized oscar, a JD, 5 lg tinfoil barbs. a silver dollar, an eel, and a lg albino frog. i was hoping for a suggestion and maybe some pics of yours. The local pet store has one but he is small. I want on that will go well in my tank, and looks awsome. Im very interested in where to purchas one cause the pet store idiot doesnt know what he is doing. Ive also had bad luck with fish from him before. thanks alot

seriousely if you want an arowana, get a tank at least 3 times bigger than yours...:)

you should do some research before getting an arowana, and you need a much larger tank (at least 200+gal.)

Aros grow very quickly, it could only live in your heavily stocked tank untill it is about 12-13" long then it will need a much larger tank. If the one at the pet store is say 6" then you are gonna need a bigger tank in about 6 months, and realize with in a year and a half that aro is gonna be 2 foot long and needs to be in a huge 200+ gallon tank.

Also if that oscar is of any size it will probably pick on the aro.

I waited 15 years!! And it was worth it :)

good choice on waiting. but if u get rid of all ur other fish, and buy a baby arowana. you could start one off for like 6 months or so, but be ready to upgrade and plan ahead to have the tank ready for a move.
