I love Jack Dempseys (I would say it's my favorite fish). I have a male and female standard JD (They paired up but she wouldn't lay so he beat her up and now she's in a 10 gallon "Hospital") and wanted to breed them but it hasn't worked out so far. I eventually want to get some EBJDs and some Gold JDs and maybe some platinums. Is there a reliable website that I could order from and get good quality specimens? Do you think they would work out together in the same tank granted it was big enough? I think it would be the coolest to have one tank full of all JD's of different variations. thanks!

Aquabid has one guy that sells platinums at 1" for around $20 and offers packaged groups for $$$. Ive been looking for adult plats too forever and havent seen any so good luck. I just opted to make my own

@ Woofy,you too huh...lol sometimes making your own has more benefits....the knowledge gained and the experience under the belt can't be taken away and there is always the look what I did feeling...lol good luck growing out...

These are the EB's I got from Richard(Tamarack) on aquabid... Ill have pics of my Plat's,Gold's,Eb's and BGGG's from Arnold(Pacificshrimps) later. When I got them they were around 1-1/2 that was about a month ago...now the biggest one is about 2-1/2..2-3/4 in and the littlest is just pushing 2"in but that's the smallest out of 8 lost one,defect is what I came up with 6 are closing in on 3" and the one well is just smaller... But no complaints from me luv em if I had more tanks I'd buy 8 more!!! The biggest one stays in his clay pot playing peek a boo...cracks me up
