I have 1 male and 2 females I just bought they are in a 29 gallon just the 3 of them I got cichlid lake salt. I hope they will breed in the 29 so I can sell F1 fry. any suggestions on tank temp or anything let me know.

I wouldn't worry too much. Labs tend to breed very easily. Give them some time to settle in and I'm sure they will begin to breed, as long as you are sure about your ratio. I have labs that I can't keep from breeding. Clean water and temp around 79-80. I would also give them plenty of rocks/caves to hide in. Holding females need to be able to get away and in a 29 that can be difficult. Its a pretty small tank for mbuna.

ok thanks I should be getting more rocks for more caves this weekend.

Do these breed essentially the same as yellow labs. I have a group of 15 (3m/12f) and have not been able to get them to breed. I have created plenty of caves and keep the water temp about 78 and change once a week. I have tried flower pots, holey rock, stacks of rock, and slate separated into levels and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
