for filteration....

how would i go about this?

i have a 180 with 2 over flows.and a 36" wet dry

thanks

im thinking 2-5 10 gallon tanks or my old 75 gallon

I recently did a similar thing plumbing a 3x2x2 into an existing 55 gallon setup.

Get another drilled tank and plumb the drainage into the same area of the sump as you currently do.

Then just take a tee off the return pump (if you think it will not be powerful enough then upgrade pump, or if thre is room squeeze a second pump in). If you go with just one pump you will want valves to control the flow to make sure each tank get's its fair share.

Other than that there is little to it. Nice and simple really. The hard part is setting the first one up.

This all supposes there is enough water in the sump to allow extra flow from it.

umm.. can u get me pics... i think i got the idea

I have an overflow in each tank draining to a common sump behind the wall. (29g+ 40g +8g sump=77 total for the system) more water=more stable. unclutered the tanks from equipment, not the cheapest way to go, but great look if your tanks are in proximity.
PLUS: bonus pic of homemade sump
