I want to start breeding fish..

I'm not sure what fish yet, or what I need to know.
My plans are to build a 4 large indoor ponds from cinder blocks and waterproofing them, they will be 8 foot long by 4 foot wide by 2 foot tall. this should give me adequate room to breed pretty much anything I can get a mating pair of. I will also have several 15 to 20 gallon fry tanks set up. I am hoping to breed chichlids, oddballs, and predators.

what would be a good fish to start off with for breeding?

any other information is appreciated

Actually you need approx 2-3 times the amount of growout space as breeding space so I would breed in the small tanks and use the larger ones for growing. You will need to continually size sort and probably species sort as well so make the growout tanks with dividers.

i would breed pbass. but first try breeding somthing easy in one of those smaller tanks. just to see how to feed fry and all.

Have you ever bred anything before? When youre starting so big it's hard to reccomend any of the usual starter breeding fish to you because you've got so much more space than you'd need for guppies or cons. You might try planting one of the tanks heavily and try breeding some neon tetras. If you could get them breeding reliably you could probably dip your net in and scoop out the profit. Neons arent particularly easy to breed though.

Once I know what your breeding experience is I can try and give some more suggestions.

i have never bred anything e
