  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that would be cool if u can pull it off

In most species it is not that hard to get them to breed, but it is almost impossible to raise the offspring through their planktonic stage. That link is great. Do a bunch of research, and keep track of all the variables (water temperature, salinity, water quality, etc) to see what works. http://www.petshrimp.net has a bunch of into about breeding other types of shrimp. The author of the site has had a good deal of sucess with raising fry that go through a planktonic stage. Good luck.

and breeding them is not the hard part its rearing the fry which is close to impossible considering they are microscopic but i am sure it could be done

You're right, it is silly to call them shrimp, especially when Stomatopod is a much cooler word. I think I will name my firstborn Stomatopod. :headbang2
I want one of those! http://www.blueboard.com/mantis/pics/caldwell_shining.htm
