Ok, in the next few months I will be purchasing a 150Gallon tank:headbang2

So far the fish list goes somthing like this.

Thin Bar Datnoid x2
Indo Datnoid
Synodontis Eupterus
Synodontis Granulosus (possibly)
Polypterus Delhezi (bichir)
Royal Pleco
Blue Dempsey

Any suggestions on other things to add? I was thinking another Bichir or maybe a school of 5-7 fish either silver dollars or somthing similar in size.

the thin bars will most likely not get above a foot, and if they do it will take them years to get that big. Same for the indo, it gets bigger then thin bars but Datnoids are VERY slow growing fish. The eupterus will stay about 6 inch, the granulosus max's out around 10 in, the bichir max's around 14 inch, the royal pleco supposedly max's out around 16-18 inch however I have never seen one that size, and the Bdempsey gets about 6 inch... Now the likelyhood that any of my fish reaching the max size is unlikely.

Why ditch the dempsey?

I have 1 thin bar so far, about 8.5-9 inch, I plan on getting another thin bar and a indo, smaller and grow them out in a 55G. Tru that the jack dempsey is very aggresive, but the blue string is nowhere near that aggresive, I have kept them before and while they are still cichlids so can be "bossy" chances are that it wont kill anything, especially the tank mates I have for it.

i was thinking a surface dweller, but most get pretty big. All I really could get is a needle fish (which i have 9inch but was planning on keeping it in another tank) or a butterfly fish. Unless I am forgeting about somthing?
