i want your opinion as to what i should get for two of my tanks!:headbang2

20g---- In this tank i already have fish. i have 2 black-lined rasberas, 3 lemon tetras, 1 pleco (its 1.5'' long, and hasnt grown in 4 years), and 2 swordtails. i want more fish in this tank so i was thinking about 3 corydoras (cory catfish). tell me if you agree or disagree. if your disagree, please make a new suggestion.

:D100g----In this tank i have 1 male map turtle, 1 possibly female painted turtle (too small to tell the sex), and 2 bluegill. i was thinking about getting like 3 or 4 more bluegill and a ton of millfoil weed from our lake. once again... tell me if you agree or diagree and, if you disagree, suggest somthin else.

thank you!:)

i would def go with the lake idea, just be carefull not to plug your filter...not sooo sure on the cory idea...

yeah, i really want to go with the lake theme. It looks real cool. it be awesome if i could get a school of minnows, but... thed get EatEn!!

20g- Figure out why your pleco isn't growing before adding any cories. If your tank is completely cycled and your nitrAtes are in control, the veggies he's eating should be more than enough to grow him up. Or is he an otto or something? Aside from the pleco, the stocking is good and you have room for five cories. They are happier in larger numbers, so if you're going to go that route, it might be best to shoot for at least five. What is the footprint on this tank?

100g- Even if your turtles are still small, the bluegill won't be for long. You I'd get rid of one bluegill to prevent the coming bloodbath and go with your plan of waterweeds, but try mixing up the sunfish species (bluegills get huge and mean!) to possibly reduce the chance of aggression. All it took in my 125g to set things off was one 5" green sunfish going after my Oscar, so you never know what might work and what might not, but I can tell you now that six bluegills don't have a chance in a 100g tank for the long haul. It's a good way to get a breeding pair to form, but you'll be juggling.

I wouldn't add anything to the 20, personally. Is it a common pleco or some other type?

For the turtle tank I agree you could be in for trouble with more bluegills/sunfish, you could try adding other natives like a bullhead or a perch.

ok!! thanks a lot for your input. i really appreciate it. My bluegills havnt gone after each other yet. one is 4inches and the other is only 2inches..... so, maybe it might work out. but anyways, thanks for your input, it really helped.

For the 20g I would get at least 5-6 corys. The 100 would be sweet with the blue gill, 5-8, dark substrate.:headbang2

i totally agree!!!!:headbang2 even though everyone is saying not to, immma get more bluegills. and besides, its too late now..... i already have them!!!!:nilly:

Hey no worries, if you get aggression flare-ups just throw them in the pan ;)

Get a pickerel, if I could find one I would.
