I don't have a ton of cichlids to film like some of you because when I got the Dovii, I had to get rid of the others. So I apologize that now you guys are forced to see just him over and over mwuhhahahaha. :D

Thanks, it's a 265 gallon-7' x 2' x 2.5'. I'm using 20-grade pool filter sand from Leslie's Pool Supply. It works great....kind of larger grained so it falls down quickly when disturbed.

Sweet thanks bro.

There's a leslie's pool supply around me. I got to go check if they have that type of pool filter sand....really digging it. Looks super light/white. Any problems with using it initially?

No problems at all. I highly recommend it. You only have to bucket rinse it a couple of times and it's clean and ready to go. No dust cloud whatsoever, which is good because my Dovii is always piling it up in the corner. I started with play sand, rinsed it a million times, put it in the tank and it was always going nuclear dust cloud on me. Upon someone's recommendation, I completely started over with this sand and absolutely love it.

Cool vid. And I agree 100% on the pool filter sand. The stuff is great!

He's really looking great! I am amazed that tankmates are still working with him.I like the tank setup too!

I'm going to get away with tankmates as long as I can. Sometimes he likes to chase the target fish around and get some excercise.
