I finally finished my Aquarium rack setup.

1 - 60g
4 - 10g

I am using a rubbermaid ice chest (around 50g) as a sump and it has a lot of space. What I was wondering though is that, I have a koi (3") and it has been nipping on my other fish in my display tank. Is it possible for me to place it inside the sump? (I dont want to scare yall so if you can, look up ScubaSteveAquatics, take a look at his sump, thats how mine is set up) I mean it basically is just another tank except with a filter in it.

Any ideas?

You sure can as long as the fish won't get trapped anywhere.

Another thing i didn't mention
(It didn't want to let me post so i just posted something quick), is that the rest of the fish are tropical and cichlids, i wouldn't effect them? I was told that golfish let out a certain chemical that other fish other then goldfish can die from?

Never heard of this.. but goldfish can and do carry different diseases on occasion that can be dangerous to tropicals since they have different immune systems... but vice versa is also possible. I've been feeding goldfish for years to my predetory fish and that is the number 1 concern when keeping them with tropicals. I've also kept particularly attractive goldfish in my community tank w/out any issues other then when they get big they tend to eat my fry ect.

and x2 on keeping it in the sump... lts of people keep "sump pets" when the room is there.
