Why would you ruin a steak by over cooking it?

I rescued a holstein beef baby calf when he was three days old.. he lived to become an Oxen and passed away last summer at age 13 years.. They are very intelligent and very sweet animals.. no one really realizes what a beef cow goes through.. the baby boys are stripped from the mother as soon as they are born and they are picked up by a slaughter house at age 3 days.. then they are veal.. I still eat beef once in awhile.. but not veal..

yeah that's sick, but not all farmers do that.
it depends on the farmers, they have a choice about how they want to sell their cattle. my uncles farm cattle, and they don't do that, they think it is cruel. all of their cattle are full grown when sold.
