The father is a Green Texas and the mom is a midas x flowerhorn I pulled the fry 48 hrs after they hatched

I wonder if they would make some type of red tex. some of the midas x flowerhorns siblings faded so I know she has the fade gene and since the males genes are stronger they most likely will have his shape... I dunno in about a month we'll see

i disagree the father of the "devilhorn" was pretty beastly so those genes are there too. I will cull the fry and see what happens
 
Update: A little over a year later I have 3 of these left 2 males and 1 female. Not that large imo mabey around 4"-6" I think since dad was approx. 8" and mom was around 6" together they wouldn't think they would produce large fry. The largest male looks as if its starting to fade around the gills and smaller male has a reddish color to him from time to time. the female is ready to lay but i haven't put her with any thing yet she has the best pearling of them all

Im working on it she is full of eggs she is housed in a 225 w/ a male synspilum male being the largest fish in there. She flits with him alot ;) but so far he isnt interested. :popcorn::popcorn:
