Has anyone concidered(or done it) putting a large volume/surface area common sump for multiple tanks in the crawl space under your house..

if so how would you heat/cool it and how would you control the humidity

It's a good idea if you have a lot of well established, disease-free tanks with fish requiring similar water parameters and you don't plan on adding any new fish.

The problem with something like that is that if you get an outbreak of some illness in one tank, you get it in all tanks.

well all my tanks are saltwater so my water parameters are "interchangable" so to speak and 2 of the 3 tanks are well established and all the fish have been in thier respective tanks for at least 2 years.. the 3rd tank is not even set up yet infact it dosent even have water in it but the fish for the 3rd tank are fish from the 1st 2 tanks as they grow..no plans for new fish
