I set up my stepson's 10 gallon tank about two and a half weeks ago bought him two parrot fish and african cichlid juvies. one parrot fish went pale white, thinking the fish were fighting i moved the weak parrot to my 50gallon tank but it did not help and it died. When setting up his thank I had introduced two red top zebras and albino zebra to my 50 gallon. This week the other parrot fish died, not knowing what to do i took on the 4 juvies in the 50 gallon (2 are left).

I have a 50 gallon tank, livestock include
bushynose pelco
yellow lab
demasoni cichild (in a breeding net cage, man he is mean)
the other fish in this story = 11 total

from there the following has happened this week.

I have a red jewel ciclid that just sits in the corner. when he doesn't swim around the thrashes its head against everything.
The green terror joins the red jewel and doesn't eat anymore, but does not rub against anything
the bumble bee has white spots.

i'm following guppys tip on treating ich/ick and put in the five teaspoons of dissolved aquarium salt in the tank, the temp has also been adjusted to 85 degrees F.
the red jewel went for some food but the green terror just hides.

Before looking up what to do here i did treat with stress coat thinking the new live stock made the fish a bit depressed. Once i saw the head rubbing and white spots i followed up the next day with pimafix.

I'll continue with updates but am really trying to figure out the best way to feed the terror. any tips? i'll continue to dig round this forum.

yay!!!

they ate!!! feed them (3 hours after i usually do) and every single one of them went for it.

the red jewel is swimming around not just in the corner with minor head rubbing, the terror is still in a funk. The bumble bee is now rubbing its head on stuff.

but they are eating!!!

What are your water parameters? That green terror has its fins clamped. Starting with the 10 gallon, having 2 parrots in there would be maxing it out right off the bat imo, they are also shy when young and may have gotten stressed. Test your water and go from there, sitting on the bottom like in the pictures isn't normal. Best of luck!
