Could a p get ich from xfer tanks and the stress on him, also what are the odds of p's surviving ich with temp and salt cure, i hear there prty hardy?

possible, heat and salt treatment can cure them pretty fast.
turn temperature to 82F and add 1 table spoon of salt per every 10 gallon.
or you can just turn temperature above 86F and leave it at that temp for 10 days (personally I do it for two weeks). at higher temperature there will be less O2 in the water so you may have to add some air stone in the tank.
