My fahaka puffer has ich do i need to remove the carbon in order to treat it with the medication? The problem is that the filter i use has a cartridge with carbon in it so i cant remove the carbon without removing the cartridge? What should i do?!?!?! NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE

Carbon can absorb meds but not salt. Try dosing with table salt and increase temperature by 84-86 degrees Fahrenheit.

It is only temporary. If you haven't figured out yet, the treatment course must be done in 10-14 days at least to make sure the ich is completely eradicated. Maximize oxygen levels as well.

If you go the meds route, you need to take out the carbon cartridge. Carbon eliminates the effectiveness of the meds.
