New aquarium hobbyist here..

I have 37gal tank. I’ve had glofish since January. Added some juvenile bosemani rainbows on Thursday. Monday notice that one has his mouth open all the time. (Picture attached) Then the next day notice a couple small white dots on one of the fins of the glofish. Started slowly increasing temp and ich treatment that night. Now it’s been 48hrs and the spots have increased and changed. (Phot attached)

Hard to tell on the pics. Tetra looks like it has fungus on the fins. Rainbow fish is hard to tell. Would use tweezers and pull it off Could be fungus or parasitic. Would try to get ur tank cycled and get some water changes going. Add some bacteria to the tank.

thank you for replying!
I was doing 20% every 2-3 days cause I had algae 2 weeks ago. I think my tank is starting to cycle again. I have filter media and have been using stability.
Should I stop ich treatment? And what’s the treatment if it is fungal?

If it’s fungal then api fungus cure works.

If you are doing ich treatment make sure you have no activated carbon in you filter because that can slow or stop ich treatment. It looks like ich or other similar parasites causing fin rot or fungal growth. Use trusted brand medication and water changes. Hope your fish get healthy

Thank you! I did remove carbon. I only have access to Pima or mela fix where I live and won’t be able to get it till tomorrow. I do have Aquarium salt at my house. Should I continue the second dose of ich treatment tonight? Or stop and add one of the above things?

Mela fix may treat symptoms but probably won't kill the source. I would continue ich treatment for now.

Looks like a fungal issue, not ich to me. Rainbow fish can be prone to cottonmouth disease which it looks like yours has. And the tetras fins look like finrot. I would stop the ich treatment and treat for fungal infection. Extra water changes will help too . I would up the percentage of water change to 50%.
