You have to bear in mind ich can stay as low lying infection simply residing in gill tissues and strike explosively only when they sense their hosts' immune systems weakening. There is NO dormant phase for ich. The only way to completely eliminate them is continue your salt treatment (a dosage of two teaspoons per gallon; a teaspoon per gallon added every 12 hours) 10 days AFTER the last ich was spotted while maintaining elevated temp around that period.
