I have a 120g. In it are 5 clown loaches. One 5" Indo Datnoid. One 12" Florida/spotted gar. One 12" Ornate Bichir. One 6-7" Delhezi bichir.
The clown loaches have ich. I'm pretty sure it spread to the indo datnoid. I just bought a medication. Rid Ich "Kordon". Has anyone tried this? Also my dad said adding in 12 tea spoons as it shows and doing water change daily will kill all my fish. Help? What do I do?

remove any carbon you have in the filter and turn the heater up to about 85. Im not sure about a salt treament with the loaches so I wouldnt do that . Make sure you remedicate for each gallon of water that is done with the water changes...

I've had great results using the increased temp (as stated above) along with adding Maroxy to the tank. This med is safe enough to use on fish eggs so, it will be gentle on your loaches.

I have had tanks with ich 4 or 5 times, everytime the tank had clown loaches in them. I turned the temp to 84 and added 4 tablespoons of aquarium salt for every 5 gallons of water. It worked like a charm every time. Don't do any water changes during treatment unless your water parameters are getting unhealthy. Wait 3 days after signs of ich are gone to do a water change.
