Hi,
I’ve noticed a few fish rubbing and on closer inspection found what looks like a minor case of ich .... how do I treat this as I have a ray in the tank?

Thank you in advance

Heat and salt. Increase temp to 86 degrees. Increase by a degree per hour. Add salt 3 tsp per g....half the total now and add the other half in 6-8 hours. With every water change replace the amount of salt removed. So if 100g and 50% water change then add 50g back with 150tsp of salt for the half removed. Gravel vac and water changes as needed. Keep like this for over 10 days and Atleast 1 week after the last spot has disappeared. Add a powerhead to keep the water moving.

Just calculated and for a 350 litre (93 US gallon) tank that’s 1.5kg of salt ? .... is that correct?

Believe it’s about 1.1kg but yes it’s a large amount to dissolve.

The exact amount of salt is not critical, but some fish are less tolerant and so I'd use less.
I don't know about rays, but my cories and plecos are sensative.

If you have a sump, make sure its temp goes to 86F too, or you may be unsuccessful. My sumps typically run one or two degrees different. Hotter or colder, depending on the season.

1 tsp salt = 5.69g x 3 = 17.07g x 93 US gallons
= 1587.51g ?
I was trying to do it in my head but ur calc is right.
