So irk where this ich has came from since all of my fish have been quarantined for a month each but my 210 has gotten ich and I am using the salt and higher temp method although I do have a ray and don't want to add too much salt .... What would you prefer for salt per gallon ratio also the tank is in my basement and the temp won't go any higher then 80 bc of the cold even with 3 300 watt heaters.... What should I do and how often should I feed and do wc?

Don't worry this is a grow out tank

Stock includes
3 inch rtc
4 inch tsn
7 inch silver arow
6 3-5 inch silver dollars
8 inch disk motoro
5 inch clown knife
4 inch peacock bass
6 inch spotted gar

If you're worried about using salt, try Maroxy instead. I's safe enough to use in tanks with scaleless fish and eggs. Get the temp up to over 84F (boost aeration first since warmer water holds less DO (dissolved oxygen)) Perform a big water change prior to treatment to reduce the pathogen population. Perform another big water change every 3rd day and retreat with full strength doses. Once the last spot disappears, continue treatment for another 7 to 10 days (the visible spots are only 1 stage of the pathogen's development).

Get a proper heater for that size tank. They're not expensive compared to fish losses.
or
Cover the tank as recommended above. Place the blanket(s) in a large plastic trash bag(s) to prevent mildew and stinking the house up.

Feed only a small amount every other day.

Salt is not needed with the Maroxy. If forced to use salt, a teaspoon per gallon is recommended. Do not use marine salt since the mixes contain buffers that will mess up the tank's pH.

Why would I use marine salt Hahah ..... And 3 300 watt heaters is adequate for this tank it's just been in the negatives lately..... Using one solid heater is a bad idea .... It's smarter to use multiple heaters due to malfunction
