i notice yesterday that 3 out of 8 of my fishes has ich in my 240gal i was going to treat the fish in my 10g but i want to make sure that the ich is out of my main tank can some1 give me advice on what should i do .....

Two things have to happen for a disease to occur 1-the pathogen is present and 2-the fish are stressed.

Without BOTH of these things happening the fish will not get sick. Our tanks are not sterile so that is not usually the problem. The stress is your real culprit. If you do nto remove the stressor illnesses will return, or at least another will pop up.

Keep the fish in the DT, cramming them in a 10 will only stress them more.

What has changed lately?
New fish?
Aggression?
What fish are in the tank?
Which ones are sick?
Did you do a water change recently?
Most likely a water change will help things, unless this is the actual stressor (more chlorine than usual, not matching temp, etc.). IME you can treat ich with high quality and a lack of stressors alone. In some cases you may need to raise the temp and add salt as previously suggested. I would not jump to meds at this point.

should i treat the them in my big tank or treat them in my 10g 2getter

in which ich medication work the best !!!!

What type of fish do you have, and how big are they? The easiest way to treat them would be to move them to a smaller quarantine tank (though a 10g for 8 fish is likely too small). This will allow you to more easily monitor the fish, use less medication/salt depending on what treatment you choose, and use less electricity to maintain the tank at a high temp if you choose to raise the temp. In addition, removing all of the fish from the main tank for a few days will allow any of the ich in the tank to die off (ich cannot survive without a host).

The heat/salt method works well in most cases, and is cheap and easy (see Crunchy's post above this for the link).

Raise the temp to 86-88 degrees. If you want you can add some aqua-sol to help speed up the cure. At this point I probably would not even move I would just treat the 240.
