Woke up this morning to ick in my 70. Not sure how it got there, temp is high and WCs religious. Specifically, only the orino pbass are effected at this point. The only thing I think it could be was I played host to my friends rope fish, pbass, and endli bichir for a couple days while we moved his tank to his new place. He already has started treatment, he said he had QTd his fish but I'm not so sure with him.
I have 3 bichirs from 5-8.5 inch, a red wolf fish, 2x Orino pbass, a 13 inch rope fish, a striped raphael catfish, and a balzani earth eater.
Now I know bichirs are sensitive to ich treatments, so I upped the temp to 83, did a half dose of API super ick cure, about 3 tbsp of saltt. Also have been soaking the pbass pellets in the meds, making sure they get at least 2 soaked per feeding
Anything I can be doing differently or better? I did a quick WC before treatment, going to do another one in 48 hrs as per APIs instruction. God I hate ick, been doing light feedings too
