Ich infected fish with bichirs

I was going to buy this delhezi bichir but noticed that there was a fish with ich in the tank. Will the ich get on the bichir, or is it already on?
See I want to buy it but then I am worried the bichir carrying ich to my tank and if my fish get stressed out they'll get infected...
