Yet another thread that involves ich...
I just had it pop up in my 60-Gallon. A week ago a 4-Lined Catfish had it, got him out of the tank, and he ended up dying. Today I noticed all three of the Blue Gourami in the tank have it. Took them out into a quarantine tank, and they are now being treated in a 10-Gallon. Now I have noticed that a few others also have ich in the tank. Just what I needed, not like I have any good luck anyway.:irked: I just did a 40% water change two days ago, and now a 20%. My question is, what else should I do??!! Take out any that have ich right away and treat them, or just treat the entire tank knowing that they will probably all (Or some of them) will get ich. I am also treating the Gourami with "Ich-Attack". If you have any idea on what I should or could also do, that would be great. It's all appreciated.

I have cichlids so im not sure treatment is same but when mine got Ich,right after i cleaned my entire tank, i increased temp in tank and added small amount of extra salt...Not too much...what temp do you currently keep tank at? Do you use any aquarium salt???

Check to see the ratio on the container...If the instructions are not helpful ..perhaps ask someone here with similar fish the amount they use... I use 1 teaspoon for every 5 gal. But as a tonic i think 1 teaspoon per every 2.5 gal. is ok...Again check with someone with the same fish....BTW i increased my temp from the usual 80 degrees to about 84...

2 TBS (tablespoons) per 5 g is what I've used for ich for years. Plus turn the temp up to 87 degrees. You can't take fish OUT to be treated because the main tank is infected and everyone else in there is sitting in it exposed to ich. Put all the fish back and treat the main tank. Keep that amount of salt in for a solid 10 days. Way safer than ich meds.
Edit: Do not use salt and ich meds both.

Will do devder.
Looks like the only other that has ich is the Striped Raphael Catfish.

Alright, I hav had good luck with organic ich attack+salt and temp up but that could be overkill?
