I've read multiple posts on how to do this, but I decided to go with Lupin's method of 1 teaspoon of dissolved salt per gallon and raising the temp to 86*, but I couldn't find his post again and am wondering whether or not I need to add more dissolved salt water to my already salted tank. I believe it said to add more after 12 hours, but is that it, or do I need to keep doing this every 12 hours for a week?

Thanks!

The post you are looking for is here: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=371335

Whether or not you need to add more salt depends on the concentration the salt is at right now. You do not add salt every 12 hours for a week.
Starting at 0% salt in your aquarium water, you add 1tsp salt/gallon which increases the salt to 0.1%. After 12 hours, add another 1tsp/gallon which will increase the salt to 0.2%. Then again after 12 hours, add 1tsp/gallon which will increase the salt to 0.3%.
If at any point you notice signs of stress, immediately do a 50% water change (this will cut your salt concentration in half). Use the largest salt concentration up to 0.3% that your fish tolerate well.

Much appreciated, Outlaw! Thanks for the clarification.

No problem! Keep us updated with the progress. I'm always interested to see how different treatments effect scaleless (or nearly scaleless) fish.

So far the fish appear to be very healthy and active, still eating as well. I did 75 teaspoons 2 days ago, and another 60 (ran out of salt) 12 hours after. Lupin got back to me and suggested I do only the 75 once, so I took out a little bit of water and replaced it with fresh water to dilute it a bit. The temp is at 88*, but everyone seems as happy as can be. I'll drop it down to 86* in a few days to see if that accomplishes anything.
