Hey I just noticed this on my zebra pike, he has some white spots on him just a little bit, I cant tell if its sand or ich. The spots are REALLY small and hard to see so its hard to tell. He does alot of digging and so does my pleco, they kick and shoot up sand all the time. So what do yall think, his color is obviously still good and there are no other signs. The only thing is that he had popeye in one eye last month for like 5 days, then it went away on its own, so I don't know if the two are related. If it is ich could yall give me some pointers, *** never had ich in a tank before. Temp of my tank is 82 degrees F too so idk how ich would even establish
None of my other fish have it btw, I have 6 tetras, 1 pleco, and 6 geophagus that I just got, and none of them have anything, which I think they would if my biggest strongest fish has it.

Nice looking pike cichlid looks like sand to me but not 100% sure.

Ich will do well at high temperatures - it reproduces faster in that case. The high temp during treatment is intended to speed up its life cycle.
How long have the spots been there? Ich spots will come and go every few days before multiplying.
I’d monitor for a bit to see how it develops.
Treatment is quite simple if it is, all you need is to raise the salinity a bit.

I thought I saw a spot not too long ago, but this has probably happened in a couple days because I have a picture of him exactly 7 days ago and there's not a speck on him. Ive read about the aquarium salt, does it harm any of my fish or plants?

I don't see how that could be sand, clinging to the side of the dorsal like that while he's moving around. I'd start treating for ich if I were you.

Looking at your sand grain size it seems pretty uniform. I would say it’s ich based off of what we can see in the photos

should I use ich x? Ive never had any disease in my fish tank before, I do 25gallon water changes about twice a week
