Ich or something else?

I've been searching for a brown bullhead for weeks now at lfs and finally stumbles upon this guy. He's about 6" and has big scrapes on his sides I assume from scratching himself on the bottom/on decorations. He has tons of small white dots on his head. This is my first scaleless fish so I didn't want to waste my time treating the tank for ich if it's not. Oh and on a side note last night I woke up and he was scratching his body on the bottom of my tank.

I suppose it sounds like ich but its hard to tell. Can you get a better still shot of him? Its hard to see any detail but looks like it could be on the 2nd pic

Alright, it's just hard because he only comes out at night.
