ICH PROBLEM.

Okay, Im new to saltwater. Ive recently set up a 20 gal tank just to get an experience on saltwater. I bought 2 Domino damsels, 5 yellow tailed blue damsels, 2 Brown damsels (?), 2 clownfishes, 2 IDK fish ,2 starfishes and A Pajama Cardinal fish. (I know its overstocked)

now in placing my live rocks some of my helpers hit the aquarium and i had to put my fishes in a bucket. unfortunately 4 of my blue damsels and a domino damsel didnt make it.

and recently one by one my clownfishes died. (the other one five minutes ago) and Ive noticed to many ich on my pajama cardianl fish. and some on my fishes to. (I dont think the clowns died from the ich)

the ichs look like the same as the ichs in freshwater fishes that you see. its white. my tank is in cycling. what can i do?

I am using a overhead (the lady in the store told me it was alrite) and a submersible skimmer. my water came from the ocean. help please.

Gonna be blunt here....i know i know, not like me....

Use this opportunity to take some fish back to a store....in a 20 gal, your looking at 4 fish absolutle max...No wonder your suffering from ich....


**edit*** ...in fact....take them all back, you say your tank is cycling ( post dated 22 of july 09 ).....

Your problem is two fold.
1) Too many fish.
2) Ocean water is thick with bacteria and other negative things you DO NOT want in a tank. Look at running low salinity for awhile once it's running again. It will help. Also some kind of a UV set up will help kill off the negatvie crap you're getting from the wild.

Yeah, get rid of the fish and finish a proper cycle. And get a UV sterilizer to kill the ocean crap. Ocean water is a big nono.
